A winning lottery ticket worth more than £11M is still waiting to be cashed in! The winning lottery jackpot of £11,165,532 was won in Saturday night’s draw from 14th August, but the amazing amount remains unclaimed. National Lottery Camelot officials said the missing winner correctly matched all 6 main numbers and is holding onto a physical ticket.

Another lucky player is yet to claim £1M after winning in the EuroMillions the night before. People who took part in both the Lottery and EuroMillions draw are being encouraged to find, check their tickets in case they have unexpectedly won the large amounts of money. Andy Carter adviser at the National Lottery has said: ‘It’s just a couple of weeks ago that these 2 life-changing prizes were won by 2 lucky ticket-holders who have yet to come forward and claim.

‘We’re asking National Lottery players to check their tickets – for the Lotto jackpot prize this is the physical paper ticket while for the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker prize we’re asking players to log into their National Lottery account to check, as this win was online.

‘We’re hoping that both winners will now come forward and claim their incredible prizes.’

If a winning retail bought lottery ticket worth more than £50,000 has not been claimed after 2 weeks, Camelot will announce the area in which the ticket was bought; from then Lottery players have 6 months from the day of the draw the numbers were announced to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket and can prove its theirs or even if by mistake sitting on a winning ticket for too long which was the case for someone last month means that someone missed out on £1 million prize!

A Millionaire maker player in London failed to claim their winnings with a code of VSHS38986, which was bought from a retail shop in Lewisham, South London, on 29th January. The money was given to lottery-funded local projects which go nationwide across the UK.

Here are the Powerball results for last night’s draw (August 4th). Do you have a winning ticket for the $203M jackpot?

The jackpot for Saturday’s Powerball lottery drawing has added to a massive $203 million.

The numbers from Saturday’s draw included 3, 11, 38, 44 and 58 with a Powerball of 2 and a Powerplay of 4x. The cash option for the drawing is worth $121.2 million, which would be given as a lump sum.

In the most recent drawing Wednesday, while no one hit the $187 million jackpot, tickets sold in Vermont and California matched five numbers but not the Powerball.

The jackpot hasn’t been won since June 20, when Steven Nickell of Salem, Oregon captured the $150.4 million prize. Nickell, who didn’t discover he won until July 1, chose the lumpsum prize and won $61.7 million after taxes. He was the fifth jackpot winner of the year.

Information About The Powerball

The game is played in 44 states, Washington D.C, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands (and through Welovetto, of course).

The odds of hitting the jackpot are 292,201,338 to 1. Players have roughly a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to win the second prize of at least $1 million.

A lottery ticket was won after its winner returned a carton of orange juice to save money! Talk about fate! Souami, 55, won $315 million after returning a $5 bottle of OJ.

The bottle of orange juice cost $5 at ShopRite, but Tayeb Souami’s wife had found the same brand on sale for $2.50 elsewhere. Yes, it was only 250 pennies, but every one of them mattered to a family that had just refinanced its home and had a daughter headed to college.

So on May 19, Souami dutifully trudged back to the store in Hackensack, N.J. —  OJ and receipt in hand.

But at the customer service counter, he saw a sign for the Powerball jackpot, which had ballooned to $306 million at that point, according to video of Souami’s news conference posted by CBS New York. He liked the number and was feeling lucky, so he purchased two tickets using the money he got from the returned orange juice and mostly forgot about the lottery for the rest of the day.

The next morning, it was more errands. Souami, 55, had some work to do in the yard, but he also wanted to get his car washed while his wife stayed at their home in Little Ferry, preparing meals for the week.

But on the way to the carwash, he stepped into a 7-Eleven convenience store to check the tickets.

“I scanned the first ticket. It wasn’t a winner. And the second ticket it was good but said ‘Must be seen by the retailer.’ I scan it again and it [said the same thing].  And I say to the lady, I hand it to the lady and I say ‘Can you check? I think your machine is not working.’

Souami said the clerk scanned the ticket and said, “Oh, my God!”

Lottery Winner’s Heart Wouldn’t Stop Fluttering

“My heart, it was just beating beating, beating,” he told reporters. “And she kept saying, ‘Oh, my God. Oh, my God.’ It’s like when you see a ‘Tom and Jerry’ cartoon: The heart goes boom boom boom boom.”

Souami had purchased the sole winning ticket. He is a father of two who immigrated from an undisclosed country in Africa in 1996. The winning numbers were 3, 6, 9, 17, 56 and the Powerball 25, according to NewJersey.com. His odds of winning were one in 292.2 million. He described himself as an occasional lottery player, more likely to play when the prize reaches a high amount.

Souami, who until very recently was an accountant for a food importing company, said he wanted to make sure the 200 people he works with would be okay before he quit.

The father of two decided to take the $183 million cash payout and remain in his New Jersey hometown. He’ll pay off his recently refinanced home, pay for his daughter’s college tuition and pay off his own college loans.

And perhaps he’ll toast with his new favorite drink.

“I love orange juice now,” he said.

A New Hampshire woman who bought a Powerball lottery ticket worth $560 million last month is fighting to remain anonymous, saying in a lawsuit that releasing her name would “constitute a significant invasion of her privacy.”

The New Hampshire woman who bought a Powerball ticket worth $560 million last month filed a lawsuit against the New Hampshire Lottery Commission in order to stay anonymous, saying that releasing her name would be a significant invasion of privacy.

The woman filed suit against the New Hampshire Lottery Commission under the pseudonym Jane Doe. She says she made a “huge mistake” when she signed her real name on the back of the ticket before contacting a lawyer. The lawyer told her she could have remained anonymous had she established a trust.

I made a huge mistake sharing my name

The lawsuit, filed last week, describes the woman as an “engaged community member.”

“She wishes to continue this work and the freedom to walk into a grocery store or attend public events without being known or targeted as the winner of a half-billion dollars,” the complaint said. It adds that she plans on remaining in New Hampshire and giving back “to the state and community that has given so much to her.”

The woman is represented by the law firm of Shaheen and Gordon. William Shaheen wrote a blogpost Jan. 8, two days after the drawing, that shines a spotlight on the difficulties the lawsuit might face.

“Don’t sign that back of the ticket because if you sign it you lost confidentiality,” he says. “It becomes public, and you lost the option of staying anonymous.”

The woman has not yet claimed the prize. Furthermore, the lawsuit says the fight for her anonymity is costing her a fortune in interest.

McIntyre said he understands the winner’s desire to keep her name out of the media. He said, “the lottery must proceed in accordance its rules”.

What are your thoughts? While your thinking, give the lottery a go at Welovetto today.

Two American lotteries, Powerball and Mega Millions, award more than $1 billion this previous weekend to two separate lucky winners.

A player in Florida scooped $450 million in Friday night’s Mega Millions draw. This happened before a New Hampshire ticket holder capped a winning weekend with a $559.7 million Powerball windfall.

The Powerball Winners

The player is the third biggest single-ticket Powerball winner since the game began, after matching the winning numbers 12, 29, 30, 33 and 61 with Powerball 26. However, the player is yet to be named and has a year to come forward and claim their prize.

The ticket was purchased at Reeds Ferry Market in Merrimack, New Hampshire on Sunday morning. It was revealed to be the shop that sold the first Powerball-winning ticket since Wednesday 25th October 2017. Crowds were eager to find out more about the Granite State’s biggest ever lottery winner and to congratulate shop owner Sam Safa.

Safa told the press that he hopes the winner is a regular customer at the store. The store sits between state capital Concord and Boston, Massachusetts. He admitted to being “very excited and overwhelmed”. He tells reporters that the store had helped crown many winners previously, but nothing like the most recent prize.

The Mega Millions Winners

Friday’s winner matched the winning Mega Millions line 28, 30, 39, 59 and 70 with Mega Ball 10.

Friday night saw the fourth-largest Mega Millions jackpot since changes were made in October. The ticket won on a line bought at a 7-Eleven in Port Richey.

The Florida city has been buzzing with excitement over the weekend. Locals are keen to learn the identity of their latest multimillionaire.

Donna Aloi is a local woman who picked up $24.1 million on Florida Lotto in 2001. When contacted by Fox 13 News, Aloi had some words of advice for this weekend’s winner. She says, “Whatever you do, just remember money is not gonna buy happiness, that’s like the most important thing.”

In Massachusetts, a single US Powerball ticket has matched all six numbers for a massive $758.7 million Jackpot win. The second largest jackpot in US Powerball history. However, the winner is yet to be identified.

Since the last PowerBall winner announced on June 10th, there has been no winner for the last 20 draws. The grand prize was sold at the Handy Variety convenience store in Watertown, Massachusetts. The winning ticket holder has yet to claim their prize. Let’s hope they have not misplaced it!

The winning numbers are 06-07-16-23-26 with the Powerball number 04.

Three tickets sold in California matched five out of six winning numbers too. The winners splitting the $1 million prize. According to NBC Bay Area, these tickets were sold in Milpitas, Daly City and Newport Beach. Powerball is played in 44 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Lottery officials say that in New York State, Powerball sales topped more than $1 million an hour on the day of the draw. Even though the odds of winning are 1 out of 292 million, people flocked to gas stations to buy their tickets. Managers were forced to bring in extra staff in during the week build up to the jackpot draw. Relative to the winning odds, you are more likely to be;

  • killed by an asteroid (1 in 700,000),
  • struck by lightning while drowning (1 in 183 million)
  • give birth to quadruplets (1 in 729,000).

California Lottery spokeswoman Melissa Villarin talked about how the incredibly high jackpot ‘fuels the lottery craze’. California PowerBall sales averaged $8.1 million a week in 2016 until the record $1.6 billion jackpot was announced and rose to $386 million in frantic sales. She says “Sure, for $50 million you can retire in a nice house and live well. But $700 million, that’s Bill Gates money. It’s a daydream, it’s fame.”
